These Terms of Service govern your use of the Turf mobile application and website (getturf.app), operated by Turf ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using Turf, you agree to these terms.
Turf provides lawn care guidance, personalized programs, AI-powered advice, and real-time soil and weather data. You must be at least 13 years old to use Turf. You agree to use Turf only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately at support@getturf.app if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
Turf provides lawn care guidance for informational purposes only. All recommendations, timing suggestions, product application rates, and AI-generated advice are general guidelines based on your lawn profile and available data. Results vary based on local conditions, soil composition, specific product formulations, application methods, and many other factors outside our control.
Always read and follow product label directions before applying any herbicide, fertilizer, fungicide, or other lawn care product. Product labels are legal documents and take precedence over any guidance provided by Turf. We are not responsible for damage to your lawn, property, or the environment resulting from the use of or reliance on information provided through the app.
Turf offers a free tier and a Premium subscription. Premium subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's payment terms.
The free tier of Turf is available at no cost with no time limit. We reserve the right to modify the features included in the free tier with reasonable notice to users.
Turf's AI advisor and weed identification features are powered by third-party AI technology. AI-generated responses are not a substitute for professional agronomic or horticultural advice. The accuracy of weed identification depends on photo quality and may not be 100% accurate. Do not make significant lawn care or pesticide decisions based solely on AI output without verifying with other sources.
You retain ownership of the content you create in Turf, including treatment logs, notes, and photos. By submitting photos for weed identification, you grant us a limited license to process those images through our AI features to provide the requested service. We do not use your photos for any other purpose without your consent.
You agree not to:
All content in Turf, including lawn care programs, AI prompts, app design, and written content, is owned by or licensed to us. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission. The Turf name, logo, and brand assets are our trademarks.
Turf integrates with third-party services including Anthropic (AI), Open-Meteo (weather), Supabase (database), RevenueCat (subscriptions), and PostHog (analytics). Your use of these services through Turf is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of third-party services.
We do not guarantee that Turf will be available at all times. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the entire app at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes where possible. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service interruptions or changes.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Turf and its owners, employees, and affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including damage to your lawn, property, or losses resulting from reliance on app content. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of Turf is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Turf and its owners from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your violation of these terms or your use of the app.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Turf will be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except where prohibited by law.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Turf after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
